Jack Brumbaugh's rich mixed media drawings are quiet and reflective. His materials include oil pastel, oil paint, colored pencil, oil sticks and more. The drawing base is typically gessoed ragboard laminated to masonite. Jack applies several coats of varnish on top of the finished piece which enables him to show the artwork without glass. The end result is painterly; however, he still considers them drawings.
