STEVEN MAHLER
Artist Bio
Steven Mahler is a nationally recognized artist living and working outside Seattle overlooking Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. He studied ceramics, graphic and industrial design at Western Washington University, graduating in 1984. His journey has been long and diverse, touching on many creative endeavours from award-winning graphic design to art direction. Steven’s passion for ceramics has led to a career spanning twenty-five years. Each of his signed pieces are individually hand thrown from porcelain clay. His traditional shapes are enhanced with lively textures and colourful glazes, and then fired to 2300 degrees fahrenheit. All of Steven’s work is fully functional.
